About

Mr. Ganesh Joshi is a research fellow in the Department of Physics and Earth Science, University of the Ryukyus, Okinawa, Japan.  Recently,  he is doing research on the geodynamics of Himalaya-Tibet region by using finite element  numerical modeling.

He got his M.Sc. in Geology from Tirbhuvan University, Nepal and MS from University of the Ryukyus, Japan. He also worked some years as a lecturer at Tir-Chandra College, Tirbhuvan University, Nepal.

Mr. Joshi’s biography is included in Marquis Who's Who in the World 2009.

Mr. Joshi is a life member of Nepal Geological Society (NGS), Nepal. He is student member of the Geological Society Japan (GSJ), the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and the Geological Society of America (GSA).

His major interests are Geodynamics, Tectonics, Numerical modeling, Seismology, Structural geology, Environment Science, Climate change, Petroleum and mining etc.
